Any Advice

I am a little depressed today because it is now a little ways into November and I still haven't found me a dental assisting job. When I signed up for this school they where like, there will be tons of jobs..it won't be hard at all to find a job! YA RIGHT. I started applying for jobs when i first started the course and i still don't have a stinkin' job. I am leaving in April to live in Tonga until July and don't know if I should just keep my job now or keep on looking for a dental job. However for those of you who don't know what my job is now it is a server job. I work at an assisted living home and serve the old people their food. I am getting pretty sick of it and need to get a new job soon or I am going to go insane. I think by now I am ready for any job that I would enjoy...any advice...I NEED HELP!!! oh and to top it off Jeffrey leaves tomorrow and my roommate is leaving me (shhh I'm not supposed to tell anyone that part)...oh gosh i need my mommy good thing she's coming tomorrow!

It's finally here...FHE HALLOWEEN CARVING PARTY!!

This year our FHE Mom and Dad asked us to plan and do an activity for FHE...of course with it being October we planned to CARVE PUMPKINS. This is my favorite Halloween activity, so i was super excited. Even better Elsie..my Tongan roommate hadn't ever carved pumpkins before, because she said it was a Caucasian thing so she was excited to.

This is her first pumpkin she carved all by herself..she did a really good job at it. Well anyways we all split up in groups and carved a pumpkin together. We were supposed to be judged on them and see who carved the best pumpkin, but I think we all forgot..However, I think our pumpkin was the best, because it had a uni-brow and big ears.

Anyways after all the excitement, being the mischievous person i am wanted to dump all the innards on somebody. I tried to lure kenzie outside, but she wasn't falling for it, so I lure Elsie out. I tried to dump a big wad of it on her but i am not a very good aim so i mostly got the ground. She got me so good though and I got her a little, but it was still a blast. I love my roommates and all the good times we have together!

1 more week!!!

This is so crazy my big little brother as he would call it is leaving on his mission in 1 week... I can't believe this time has finally come. It makes me sad, but happy at the same time. When I was sitting in the airport waiting for Jamie and Misi to come for the farwell missionaries were coming home and it made me teary eyed. My little brother who likes to beat me up whenever I come home is leaving for 2 YEARS.....geez hopefully he can do some growning up in that space of time. 2 years better go by slow because I can't even imagine him being married and knowing how he is with girls he will be finding him a wify soon after his mission. I better get a work on that or he'll be married before me and we can't let that happen!!

Anyways his farwell was good...after my mom spent two nights writing his talk for him I thought it was a very good talk. One of the good ones that I have heard...and I have been to a lot....wink wink. ha just kidding. But it was good to see all my sisters and get to talk with them..driving home from the airport talking to Jamie, sleeping with her not getting much sleep at all with that dang closet light on, talking on the deck with all my sisters and cousin then after beating them all at ticket to ride, because I am the CHAMPION ticket to rider...and most of all eating such good food especially the texas sheet cake from my mommy...yum I love it.

I love Jeffrey and wish him the best on his mission and hope he can be an inspiration to all and be an example for his family. Hopefully having him on his mission will give our family lots of blessing because frankly I need a man....ha just kidding. I thought I would add that in for my sisters....But ya..Good Luck Jeffrey even though he won't read this (I'll have to write him a card with my picture in it!) I Love him and will miss him...but it's only two years which really isn't that long, he'll be back before we know it....Love you all my family and I can't wait for another get together so we can play TTR...Jamie we can play when I come to texas in december maybe we'll have to get Pila's family in on the game....Love you all lots. P.S. I thought I would add a little color too my letters becuase it seems to be the popular thing to do these days...how does it look?

Um....

Sorry its been such a long time since i have blogged, and i even have had things going on. However, I think its so boring when people blog and they are these big long blogs without any pictures. I haven't got any pictures yet so when I get all of them I will have a super long blog about my happenings in October.....so just hold on to your pants and I will try this weekend to get all my pictures I need. (here is a picture of my pumpkin waldo that I carved last year. don't worry this year is better and You will be able to see it soon)

Blanding

I love going to Blanding. Even though it is out in the middle of no where I still love going. It is always a nice relaxing vacation for me. I usually take a book or just watch t.v. and relax. I went with my family this past weekend so that my brothers could go deer hunting. Ya with our families hunting luck we didn't get one, but thank goodness. The last time I went to blanding to go deer hunting with them, they actually shot one. So my nasty brothers and dad tied those dang deer to the top of the yukon with blood dripping down the sides. That isn't the worst part they stuck the heads in plastic bags and put them in the car. I was so annoyed and grossed out that i didn't go the next year. But, this year we were taking a car and jeffrey's truck, so I wouldn't have to ride the 4 hours ride home with a deer head practically next to me.

Anyways what we did in blanding....jeffrey and I started up my grandpa's four-wheeler. I was so excited to ride it because that is really the only place I get to ride on a four-wheeler. We went all around the farm and took a little walk to the pond. Anyways while at Blanding I cleaned off the front porch with my mom, grandma, and grandpa. We had a big dinner with all the october birthdays, and I watched antique roadshow with grandpa. It was a good time....as always.

Hello Martha Stewart.....

I wrote this long blog already and it didn't work and it earsed so I will try again. I love making different crafty things..scrapbooking, decorations, and quilting. Someday I want to open a craft store and let people bring their different things that they have made. Kindof like quiltedbear, but not that big. I think its a brown girl thing...ok well its a jessica, jamie and jaliz thing. I think we got it from my mom. However, Jerika tries hard, but she struggles and janelle just didn't the gene. Anyways my roommate and I have been wanting to redo our room and paint it for a while. So the other day I decided to rearrange our room, it looked pretty bare so I decided to whip some things up.
I let my roommate use my magnent board that I use to put my pictures on so I needed something. I found this cute fabric at joanne's and whipped it up. It was fast, easy, and cheap. It turned out pretty cute I think.
This I made at work. I made it at my scrapbooking job and love it. My whole apartment is filled with vinyle lettering and I decided that our room needed some too. I made it from a cricute machine it was very easy. I have been trying to get my mom to buy one for a long time...ya I'm still trying...
I also made this at my scrapbook job. It's just wood blocks with scrapbook paper over them. It says DREAM BIG if you couldn't figure it out. Notice the teeth on the books. They are mine that I made at my class. I am very proud of them. Funny story..the first time my roommate came she thought I was weird because of these. Also...notice the acorn nut thing. My roommate found it and wanted me to put it in our room. I also had some peaches and she wanted me to dry one of the pits and hang it in our room. I laughed at her face and told her she was cool....ya she's tongan...enough said!! ha ha just kidding I love my tongan roommate!

Duckie's

Today after church I look out our front door of our apartment and there was three ducks. They were so cute that I had to feed them, because at work we have a duck pond and all the old people always talk about it. There is this little old lady at work that never eats her dinner, she just breaks it up in little pieces and goes and feeds it to the ducks. I always want to go take bread out to the ducks but I am always working. So, I just had to feed those little duckies. They were so cute, I tried to get them to come into my apartment but they wouldn't come. I have been thinking of what I could get our apartment for pets and these little duckies would be so cute to have, but they wouldn't come so I will have to think of something else to get.
