Springbreak MOAB vacation!!

Mandy, my ex roomie, had this great idea to go to Moab for spring break. Since I don't go to school and don't really have a spring break anymore I thought this would be a great time. So last week we booked a hotel and loaded up the car and drove to Moab. We really didn't know what we were going to do, but go to Arches one day. We stayed at getto Motel 6, it didn't even have an alarm clock or little shampoo bottles. It was still a good time and it had beds, a showere, and a tv so i was good with it.

We left Wednesday in the morningish...when we got there we really didn't know what to do, so we did what girls do....went shopping. None of us had any money besides Jessica, she was the only one who bought anything. We went to all the stores on mainstreet and saw basically the same things in all of them. Whenever I go to Blanding we always drive past these shops and I always wonder whats in them...now I know and I never have to wonder again. We met these nice people who let us take a picture with them....they where very friendly.

Later that night we went hot tubbing....we happened to meet in the hot tub some of Mandy and Jessica's friends from snow. So it was a fun time in the hot tub, as always.

The next day we got up, packed wraps for lunch, got our water bottles, sunscreen, and hiking shoes and headed to arches. This was only my second time going and the first time I don't really remember at all. It was pretty cool, besides all the hiking which i don't do! The only one that we really had to hike hike was to delicate arch which was way worth it, because it was pretty cool once we got there. On the way up I saw all these old people going up so I knew I could make it, besides all the stops we had to take we made it in one piece. All my pictures are in cronilogical order...... We were so excited to finally get there that we had to take a picture in front of the sign. I got a picture by the biggest of the sheep for Jake, because he likes sheep, even though this is a mountain sheep. This is the first of the sight seeing stops in arches...it actually shows the fault line that runs along the road. There is this big rock that we climbed on that is on the edge of the mountain...it was pretty scary, but I climbed it. This is just a picture of me "running" off the mountain. This is our second stop, its balancing rock...thats why we are all balancing on rocks. If you haven't seen balancing rock it really looks like its going to fall off.This is the third and the worst but the best. The hike was 1.5 Miles each way...It doesn't sound like a lot, but hiking up hill and worst of all hiking up hill on slick rock is way hard. It wasn't a way hot day so that helped a lot, but if it was hot then I don't think I would have made it. This is delicate arch, if you haven't been there before it is this huge rock on top of the mountain on the edge of it. It was pretty amazing how this could have possibly been formed and how anybody ever found it. There is a place where you can just stand and look at it or you can go actually up to it. There is slick rock everywhere with no place to really grab on if you slip on fall so you have to be really careful. I made it and stood in the middle of it. It was pretty amazing and I'm glad I did it. This is me after...there is a little arch that you can climb up in....this is how I looked after climbing up to delicate arch and climbing up to that arch....don't worry the way back down probably didn't even take half as long as it did to go up. This is on our way to sand dune arch..there was a little cavern type thing that we went and took our pictures in. This is sand dune arch. I liked the hike a lot better, because it wasn't very far and it was all sand which is a lot easier than slick rock.

This is our crew that went along to spring break. It was really fun and I'm glad I went and have friends that I can take a random trip with and have such a good time that I did. But we have to go back again, because we didn't go to hole in the rock, wilson's arch, or the waterfall. Besides the waterfall, hole in the rock and wilson's arch are more things that I always drive past and never stop to look at, so I think we better take another road trip to check those things out!

Big Suprise in the Brown House

We have had some pretty exciting times these past couple of weeks. My sister and her family (our texas family) suprise us! They came a half an hour before scouts was supposed to start. We got a knock on our door, my mom went and answered it thinking it was a scout coming and who was at the door.....Ofeina and Ami...We were so super excited and I have never been so suprised in my life! And while they where here it was crazy fun. We hung out and had a blast. We had some crazy times so some of these pictures might be a little on the weird side...but thats how we are!

I know this picture isn't really good, but i love all their different poses... it is so like them and their different personalities!

On Saturday their was a big rugby tournament in Saint George...so Jerika and I along with Jamie, Pila, Misi, Pila's niece M.J. and Pila's dad loaded up the car and headed down to meet Pila's family. I was so excited because i love watching rugby and i never get to watch it unless i'm with jamie and pila or with Elsie...but i don't get to spend time with them much anymore so i never get to watch it. It was just a bunch of colleges playing and Pila's cousins were playing on Snows team so we went down and supported them. It was so so hot down there it felt like summer....jamie, jerika and me got sunburned...of course..we always do I loved it. After we went window shopping and ate at Mongolian BBQ...yum...i highly suggest it, its so good. On the way home...it was the craziest for the day...we played dumb car games with pila's niece M.J. the best one was the one I suggested....each making different beats and putting it together...its so dumb but its so fun. We laughed the whole way home, it was so funny, we probably just got too much sun! This is how we looked in Saint George and ....... This is how they looked in Richfield....ha!

Janelle and Allyssa came down on friday, but didn't want to go to the Rugby game so they stayed home and Jaliz and Andy came down that night. It was so fun to have all the family home, but two, I love it when we all get together and have a good time. Whenever all the grandkids.. all 4 of them get together my mother always wants to get a picture of them together...it never works out..these are the only two that cooperated and took a picture, but nice try. On monday Jaliz was able to go in to get an ultra sound to see what her baby is....and....We are so excited, but i think andy is the most excited! I'm so excited for them and i think they are both going to make wonderful parents. Hopefully their son will have red hair so we can have another jake to run around with. It makes me jealous that i'm not having a baby...but that can wait...for a long long time!
Other than that excitement Pila so wonderfully tiled the basement that I was going to have to do. The lines are perfectly straight and it looks so good...way better than my mom and I could have done. It was such a suprise and good time they came...I'm glad they were able to make it since both of Pila's parents and his niece is here from New Zealand.....I'm happy that they were able to spend time with them and with us....they are probably sick of traveling since they traveled back and forth so many times, but it was probably worth it for them. They left on Thursday and the house hasn't been the same since...it never is...its too quiet, but i guess i have to get back to life and find a dang job. Wish me luck! Here are just a few more of our crazy times we had!

That's Pila's Niece in the dark pink..M.J..she is so cute...she has her little accent and we had a fun time with her. She probably thinks we are so weird...but thats ok because we had a fun time on our car ride and while she was at our house.

Ofeina is such a character...she is so cute and funny. She is getting so big and her hair is so long...I am so jealous!

Ha this was my favorite...Ami is so funny and he has the biggest imagination....when they came back one night from visiting Pila's family this is how Ami was dressed. I went to go get him out of his car and Jamie told me not to laugh at his outfit. So I went and got him out of the car, it was so hard to laugh but when i opened the door he said, Jessica I'm a wrestler....he borrowed clothes from his cousin hiked up his pants as far as he could and tucked in his shirt. Ha he is so funny he wore those all night and most of the next day....my sister finally made him change!

Misi is so so cute. He is getting so big and trying so hard to talk...he says some words but other times he just grawls....I am the only one he liked...which i like to rub in Jerika's face. However when Andy came misi would only go play with him and not me! He has the cutest smile and such cute curly hair

Excitment for the month

This past month has been a very stressful month...but things are finally turning around. I haven't been able to find a job, and i've been jobless. (ew...my dog just threw up three times and of course my mom isn't here to clean it up...ya i just about threw up myself cleaning it up...and you really wanted to know that huh!) So, I decided to move home and try to get a job here and try to go somewhere and job shadow. Well I just finished talking to the dentist and yes I am going to job shadow. I am so so excited that i finally have something to do with my life. I am also excited about moving home. Last week I came home to destress and I had been praying so hard to find a job or to figure out what i'm supposed to do in life. When i got home I just felt like thats where i needed to be....so i'm movin home! My life is almost how it is supposed to be..now i only need to find a job...and what my mom told me...a boyfriend!

While i've been home we have already started a project. We are redoing an area that was just cluttered with junk in the basement and turning it into an office for my dad...someplace where we can send him to get out of our hair. Anyways the other day I started painting it, but ran out of paint. So i have to finish tomorrow and then my mom and i are going to tile. Since its my dads office we are letting him decorate it even though i picked out the paint and my mom picked out the tile...ha ha aren't we so good to him!

boring blog...

Sorry I haven't been blogging very much, but my computer's usb drive doesn't work so i can't upload pictures. I hate blogging without pictures so I haven't blogged for a while. Nothing much has been going on...we went to Ogden the first of this month to visit my grandma....we went to temple square and outback (which was a mess, when we got there they were all out of food and we had to buy these 20 dollar steaks, they were good but not big enough to justify 20 dollars) and we made it to my grandma's house all in one piece. Poor gracie while we were having fun looking at the lights and eating she had to stay in the car. Don't worry she survived we piled blankets around her carrier, so she just took a nap. Jerika and I were a little camera happy, which all those pictures are at my mom's house so when i get there i will post some. We got some good ones...i think i should go into photography..ha just kidding. I think we were doing it mostly to make jake annoyed...ha we're sisters that's what we do! Oh and while we were going around to all of these places my dad had a gun attached to his ankle. He thinks he can carry around a firearm because he has a permit. Its a good thing i didn't know until we got to my grandma's or he wouldn't have carried it around...ha maybe he just feels cool, but we were in salt lake i guess we would have been safe if there was a gunman in temple square!
After Christmas break, which i spent the whole time in Richfield, because i love Richfield, I decided I needed to get my life sorted out with school and getting a job. Needless to say I am still looking for a job. I decided that I needed to go back to school, because I was kind of bored and I needed something to do. Well the other day I got a call from Provo College, because I wanted to do medical assisting, I went and was about to do it before i called my mom with the price. I guess I just didn't register that it was more than regular college, but it is like 4095.00 a term. In order to do my degree I would have to do 4 different terms. Ya its a lot, so I am not doing that and I am just still finding trying to find a job. So if anyone knows where I can get a job as a dental assistant in the areas of Provo, Cedar, or St. George let me know...those are the only places I will move to...oh and Richfield of course. I will post pictures of Temple square when i get home this weekend.

Snow, Sledding, And Hot Tubing

For the past couple of days it has snowed all day and all night. But thankfully it has stopped today, because I really need to get over to my sisters house and make some resumes so i can find a dang job. Anyways I love the snow and I love playing in it. So last night we decided to go sledding. We didn't have any tubes or sleds, so we made our own. We found some gross pans, covered them with a garbage sack and went sledding. It worked really well, and we didn't even have to go far to find a hill. At our apartment we have some little hills, so we made the best of it. When we finished we were all pooped, so we plopped ourselves on a bench in the middle of the snow. Kenzie started throwing snowballs at random people. And then we started throwing them at each other. I think i got megan and kenzie the most, but i did tackle kenzie in the snow. However, she pushed my face in it. We had a good old time. After we went hot tubing. Some of our friends were having a hot tub party, but it wasn't really a party. It was only us three girls and maybe like six guys. Finally some people started showing up, but we left so we could shower and watch our shows. I love how random we are, and how we don't care what people think of us. I am sure we looked pretty dumb sliding down a hill on pans...we are sure cool! Oh the eating snow picture...we tried to take a picture of us sitting in the snow pretending like we were "swimming in the snow," because my friend wanted us to go sledding in our swimming suits. But it was too cold and too dark so we picked up snow..ya. But when we were in the hot tub we did went and did snow angels in the snow and got back in. I am not posting that picture, because its too embarrassing. P.S. I am so sore from turbo jam...and I have only done it twice..that's how good it works..try it out!

TURBO JAM!!

My roommate got this work out video from a friend so last night we decided to do it. It was kindof fun and it really works you out. So we decided to do it everyday. So far we have...ha ha today and then we did it this morning. I decided that i needed to start working out so I can lose weight of course and it gives me so much more energy and it helps me clear my acne. I wanted to go to golds gym or something, but i am currently unemployed and don't have any money. So these people are what i get to watch everyday. Ya we are cool, just me and kenz trying to keep up and sweating it out in the front room doing turbo jam.

Happy New Year

To celebrate the new year, some of my friends came to visit us. We really didn't know what we were going to do that night, but don't worry we found stuff to do. First we went and ate at los hermonos like at 5:30 to get there before all of the crowds. Oh a side note....when i went home we had to go to saint george for jerika's doctors appointment and we ate at the mongolian barbecue. It was so good and I want to find one up here so i can eat at it all the time...I found one! It's on center and I am going to go try it sometime. If anybody has ate there and know if its any good let me know. And if your in Saint George go eat at the mongolian barbecue, its in the strip mall!...anyways we went and ate and had a good time there. After we decided to go get cake mix and bubbly to bring in the new year with, becuase i do love to start anything out with food. We also heard that there was going to be a huge dance in the mall parking lot, so we went to go check that out to see if it was really going on. We didn't end up going, because it was so cold. Instead we went bowling, (i lost of course) found some random people to play games with, made our cake, put all of our mattresses in the family room and watched the first 10 minutes of the dark night before we all fell asleep. I am excited for this new year and can't wait to see what it brings. Hopefully it will be a more productive year in some categories than this year has. In the past i have tried to make goals, but I have only kept them for like a day and then they are down the drain. So this year I haven't made any goals, but i am going to do better at things then i have done in tha past! Well thats all I did last night and even though we didn't do much it was still fun to hang out with old roommates and have a good old time.
