Happy Halloween

I love love Carving Pumpkins...here is what I came up with this year!

I really don't know how people make such elaborate designs in pumpkins. Its so hard to carve them, I guess I don't have the right pumpkin carving tools!

Don't worry about the birthday number candles, we couldn't find any tea lights and they were the cheapest thing. However, they only lasted 2 minutes..I guess thats long enough for somebody to light them and blow them out on a birthday cake!

I don't like dressing up so this year I didn't get any costumes. However, I got invited to a dance, so I had to race to Joanns and buy a cat mask. I of course didn't try it on before I bought it and it pulls at my eyes and is very uncomfortable. But good thing not a lot of people dressed up for the dance so I didn't have to wear it.

For the night before Halloween we went to my roommates dad mortuary. I went on a tour before and I wasn't scary. However, there wasn't a body there, but this time (of course the time we rent a scary movie) there was. It was really scary!! But the movie was lame, but it was still scary.

Today for Halloween we had a special stake conference, were it was all about...yup you guessed it marriage...however, it was a really good meeting about. A quote I loved from it was "come what may and love it!"

After church I made Roast dinner and I just barely made PUMPKIN PIE!! I haven't tasted it yet, it is supposed to cool for 2 hours, and it has only been 1. So I think that I will have to give in and eat some!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

October

I can't believe its almost November! I'm so excited for Thanksgiving...I've been craving pumpkin pie ever since they put out the fall stuff at my work. I'm on the countdown with how many days Jeffrey comes home (18) and how many weeks of school I have left (6). I am the worst at wanting school to be done, especially this semester, it has been the most work I have ever had to do. I 'm so bad that I have countdowns on all of my class calenders.
This month has all been about scary movies and haunted houses. My roommates are obsessed, so I of course are dragged along with them. We have currently been to a haunted house in Spanish Fork, a haunted house in AF (however, the house looks really cool and really old, with archways for the driveway and its all surrounded by trees. I really want to go look at the house in the day light when I can reallly see it), a graveyard in Alpine, and tibble fork canyon (where if you drive around 3 times a hurst is supposed to follow you). Its all pretty ridiculous, but I'm just along for the drive.
Nothing exciting has happened this month besides having my "surgury." I had to get a colonoscopy which was not fun at all...i had to take the "special juice" but it wasn't that bad. Don't worry I don't have anything wrong with me, and I lost a lot of weight (I probably have all gained it back, but it was exciting to be down to what I was when I was in middle school).
I'm just waiting for this semester to be over so I can start next semester and have a summer off. I'm planning a lot of fun and exciting things for summer. I wanted to go on a humanitarian trip and I had a friend that is planning one. However, it is going to cost 1400...so thats out of the picture! Anyways I have to go to class!!

What I've been Missing!!

Everytime my dad and brothers go to Ogden to visit my grandma they always have to go to Smith and Edwards!

I swear I have been there once, but I have never thought it would be so great!! If you have ever drove past it, it is just junk!!! piles and piles of junk!!! So I always thought it was just junk!! It has everything, clothes, food, sailor uniforms!! I have been looking for rainboots for forever, and I can't find any I like. What do you know, I found them at Smith and Edwards...Looks like I'll be going back with my dad next time!!

Anyways now about our annual trip to Midway! Every year my dad has conferences in Midway and I look forward to it every year! However, this year we stayed at the Zermott...it was cool, but it was way too much for me! We usually stay at the Homestead, its relaxed and it always feels like there isn't much people there, their rooms are homier, the pool is a huge hot tube, I just love it so much better. The Zermott was SO busy!! Their rooms are nice, but it just feels like another hotel, the pool was cool and it had a huge waterfall, but it was cold! I just didn't love it...next year we are definately going back to the homestead!

Saturday we did our usual, woke up, at breakfast ate the homestead, and headed off shopping. After shopping my mom went and got my dad and we headed to the alpine slides. It was 2 years when we last went on the slides (with Jeffrey). Anyways, Jerika, Andy, Dad and I went down the slides and Mom, Dad, Jerika, and I headed off to Ogden.

We first had to stop and do a shady deal in the parking lot of Home Depot in Salt Lake. I suggested that we stop at DSW! My dad didn't know what that was, but I told him it was his wildest dreams come true and he would love it. So while my mom and I were in Home Depot my dad told Jerika to look it up. Ha ha I loved it!! So we got directions and went to DSW. . When we got off the exit, my mom said that we better tell him. He thought it was like Smith and Edwards...ha ha but he soon found out that it was a shoes store...but he didn't care, He would do anything for his Favorite Daughter (ME). After that we headed to Smith and Edwards and off to grandmas house.

At grandmas house it was fun to sit and visit, we rented a movie while we were getting gas and watched that! We headed home sunday, dad and mom drove us around showing us where they used to live and pointed out cool places. We were really trying to find apartments for Jeffrey. Anyways if you ever are driving down washington blvd (i think) and want too look at cool houses go to Eccles street. There is a block of houses that so pretty, my dad said that when he was growing up that was the rich block. I told him that if he wanted to live in Ogden he would have to buy me a house on that street. It was cool to be able to see the places where my parents first lived, the apartment my mom lived in during college, my parents first house they lived in, (basement aparment), another apartment where my parents and two older sisters lived in, the church where jamie was blessed, the house where my great grandparents lived and where my grandparents were married, were my dad played when he was little, where my grandma went to high school, and where my parents went to college. . . so many memories in one town!! What a great weekend!!!

Donations

I am currently seeking donations so I can have this little cutie (lily) come live at my apartment. Isn't she so cute!! I want her so bad!! However, I have currently found out that it costs more for a human to live at my apartment complex than it does a pet!! I'm not very happy about that, but I love where I live. So that is why I'm seeking donations!!

Here is our other puppy that our dog Gracie had. His name is Homer and he is going to Jaliz and Andy's home so Pax can have someone to tourture...ha ha just kidding..He's so cute though! Wouldn't it be so fun every time I go babysit brother and sister could get together and play!! I think so!!
P.S. I don't want to post how much it will cost, because I know I don't have that kindof money. I also don't want my mom to know, because she will for sure not let me have her. Too bad it isn't tax season so I could have paid for her with my taxes!!

Week 4

Only 4 more days until my birthday....i feel so old!! I'm excited, because I'll be in Richfield for my birthday and I'm super excited. Specially since my nephews and neice will be there to throw me a party (hint hint jamie)!!

Anyways here goes my list...its hard to remeber what I put and I've already started my post so I don't want to go back.

  • I love learning about history. Even though I haven't taken a history class since high school I love learning about things in the past. Today I enrolled in the institute and got into a church history class. I learned so much today, like the greatest missionary, Dan Jones, who baptised over 3,000 people in Wales is buried in the Provo Cemetary. I know what the next adventure is going to be! And the guy who was the architect (I can't remember his name) that worked on the Kirkland Temple, Navuoo Temple and Saint George Temple is buried in Scipio! Isn't that cool!
  • I really do like going to school; however, I can't wait to graduate and get a "real" job! It really scares me though, because I don't know what exactly I want to do. I really want to work as a secretary in a dentist or doctors office. Maybe by the time I graduate I can be a secretary in my dads office...that would be nice. I would have to be married first, because (no offense) there isn't much of a selection in Richfield!
  • I love watching scary movies. . . I usually cover my face for the scary parts, but I still love a scary movie now and then.
  • I don't like entertaining people, but I do love to have people over for food. As long as I don't have to find something for them to do I love it!
  • I'm a closet dancer...ha ha just kidding, but I love going to dances! I miss snow so much for their dances. I want to take a dance class sometime, maybe when I don't have so many classes. They have a hip hop dance class at school...I just have to find somebody to take it with me!

Ward Campout & Sliding Rock

Last weekend was our ward campout. I was so excited to go, but it rained that day. However, we still slept over. We went up to Mutal Dell camp ground in AF canyon. Only kenzie and I stayed over, we moved the tables in the pavillion and set up our tent. It was perfect!
It was so comfy in our tent!!

It was also scary, because there are signs everywhere that says bear country!! Somebody also told me that a little boy was killed in that canyon by a bear a couple of years ago. I was scared, so I made sure to sleep in the middle!!

On Saturday we went on an adventure. We started out stopping at a persons backyard that had a lot of exotic birds. Then we went to a yard sale. Drove up and went to sliding rock. Sliding rock is a waterfall that you can slide down. I was really nervous to go, because it looked like it hurt a lot. Don't worry I faced my nervousness and went. It was really fun! Here are some pictures from that!! Kenzie and MeThe top of the waterfall. No this isn't sliding rock, it is just a little place that is above it. It was really pretty.

Here is who all went!!
The Girls!!
Me sliding down the rock. Yes I had to hold my nose and it was so so cold!!!

Girls Night!!

We always try to have girls night in our apartment, we usually go to dinner, but we decided to change it up. Two of my roommates do hair and went through hair school, so we decided to have a spa night. We put face masks on!!

I love getting face masks on, so it was perfect!
Here we are except Cassidy (who was taking the picture)...next girls night is back massages!! Can't wait!!!
