My new FAV thing!

So since I live at home and don't have a lot to do I use the computer a lot....My new favorite thing is....Pandora Radio. My friend Mandy introduced us together and I use it everyday. It's like a radio station of course but you can type in an artist's name for example Taylor Swift and it brings up a bunch of other artist's that is in her music category. Its amazing I have a everyday list and I have a Sunday list that I love because I never know what church music I'm going to like so I use this to find songs I love! Go check it out...its Pandora.com!

This is for you Jamie!

Yes since my dad moved out of the closet as his office, my mom is now redoing the closet to have it be his closet. She was all his junk out of her closet so she can have more room for her junk! Well jamie wanted me to post pictures, because since she lives so far away this is the only way for her to see the happenings!

Mom ripped everything out of the closet.....I think she wants to get it done fast so he can move all his stuff!

She painted the two walls that has the shelving on them leftover blue from downstairs and is going to paint the other wall a leftover brown or something.

Jake put together two shelves and got tired of it so mom put together the rest!

Mom and jake put the floor in...she wanted wood so it could clean easier!

Rate My Space!

My sister said I should put pictures on "Rate My Space," which is on HGTV.com, so I decided just to put it on here. My other Texas sister said I had to put pictures of the finished product on here so she could see.....Its not all the way finished, there is a little patch of ceiling above the tub that isn't painted but I will do that later this week. Anyways here is my finished bathroom with the green and the orange....I think it turned out cute, what do you think? I really didn't do anything to the bath tub. We just, My mom mainly, re calked, and clean it....I did get a new shower head which I tried out today and I love....Three different settings!!! I'm living the good life I guess...Jamie you'll have to come home soon so you can use it! This is the orange.....I like it i think it gives it a pop of color so the bathroom isn't too green.

Don't worry about the bottom right corner, I ran out of ribbon and was so sick of doing it last night that I just wanted it to be done. I will just put a big picture there to cover it up...Oh its going to have pictures in it one of these days!
I saw these on a decorating show, but I kindof did them a little different. We just had these leftover tile picture things, so I just turned the tile part over and painted the back then stamped a flower on them. They say Joy and Dream, which were just leftover words that I used, its just a little filler where the flowers aren't......anyways thats my new bathroom!! Hopefully Jeffrey likes it or he is going to be "forced" to redo it! Thats what he wrote this last week when my mom told him I was redoing it!

Day 2

Today....Painting baseboards, beadboard, door, and part of ceiling! I have been painting all day long today and finally I got all the painting mostly finished. All I have to do is to finish ceiling, but since my mom recaulked the bathtub today I can't finish until 36 hours, which is how long it takes to dry. Here is a sneak peak of the orange that's part of the color scheme.Don't worry I finally painted the bathroom door, which hasn't been painted and we have finished the bathroom how long ago...ya a long time ago!

Big New Project!!!

Besides reading, quilting, watching tv, working outside, and going on trips I am REDOING MY BATHROOM...I figure since Jeffrey isn't home for a while I have the only say how my bathroom looks like....however he did write my dad and say to not let my mom or the girls do anything to his bedroom or his bathroom. But whatever he doesn't know won't kill him! So yes this is the first stage in redoing my bathroom, and it is green. It doesn't look this pukey...if you want to see it you'll just have to come over and see for yourself. I really just posted these pictures for Jamie, because she doesn't think my color scheme will look good, green and orange....it will look good, so stay tuned it you want to see it step by step, or I should say day by day.

Springbreak MOAB vacation!!

Mandy, my ex roomie, had this great idea to go to Moab for spring break. Since I don't go to school and don't really have a spring break anymore I thought this would be a great time. So last week we booked a hotel and loaded up the car and drove to Moab. We really didn't know what we were going to do, but go to Arches one day. We stayed at getto Motel 6, it didn't even have an alarm clock or little shampoo bottles. It was still a good time and it had beds, a showere, and a tv so i was good with it.

We left Wednesday in the morningish...when we got there we really didn't know what to do, so we did what girls do....went shopping. None of us had any money besides Jessica, she was the only one who bought anything. We went to all the stores on mainstreet and saw basically the same things in all of them. Whenever I go to Blanding we always drive past these shops and I always wonder whats in them...now I know and I never have to wonder again. We met these nice people who let us take a picture with them....they where very friendly.

Later that night we went hot tubbing....we happened to meet in the hot tub some of Mandy and Jessica's friends from snow. So it was a fun time in the hot tub, as always.

The next day we got up, packed wraps for lunch, got our water bottles, sunscreen, and hiking shoes and headed to arches. This was only my second time going and the first time I don't really remember at all. It was pretty cool, besides all the hiking which i don't do! The only one that we really had to hike hike was to delicate arch which was way worth it, because it was pretty cool once we got there. On the way up I saw all these old people going up so I knew I could make it, besides all the stops we had to take we made it in one piece. All my pictures are in cronilogical order...... We were so excited to finally get there that we had to take a picture in front of the sign. I got a picture by the biggest of the sheep for Jake, because he likes sheep, even though this is a mountain sheep. This is the first of the sight seeing stops in arches...it actually shows the fault line that runs along the road. There is this big rock that we climbed on that is on the edge of the mountain...it was pretty scary, but I climbed it. This is just a picture of me "running" off the mountain. This is our second stop, its balancing rock...thats why we are all balancing on rocks. If you haven't seen balancing rock it really looks like its going to fall off. This is the third and the worst but the best. The hike was 1.5 Miles each way...It doesn't sound like a lot, but hiking up hill and worst of all hiking up hill on slick rock is way hard. It wasn't a way hot day so that helped a lot, but if it was hot then I don't think I would have made it. This is delicate arch, if you haven't been there before it is this huge rock on top of the mountain on the edge of it. It was pretty amazing how this could have possibly been formed and how anybody ever found it. There is a place where you can just stand and look at it or you can go actually up to it. There is slick rock everywhere with no place to really grab on if you slip on fall so you have to be really careful. I made it and stood in the middle of it. It was pretty amazing and I'm glad I did it. This is me after...there is a little arch that you can climb up in....this is how I looked after climbing up to delicate arch and climbing up to that arch....don't worry the way back down probably didn't even take half as long as it did to go up. This is on our way to sand dune arch..there was a little cavern type thing that we went and took our pictures in. This is sand dune arch. I liked the hike a lot better, because it wasn't very far and it was all sand which is a lot easier than slick rock.

This is our crew that went along to spring break. It was really fun and I'm glad I went and have friends that I can take a random trip with and have such a good time that I did. But we have to go back again, because we didn't go to hole in the rock, wilson's arch, or the waterfall. Besides the waterfall, hole in the rock and wilson's arch are more things that I always drive past and never stop to look at, so I think we better take another road trip to check those things out!
